noch mehr Regenrinnen, Terrasse, Dach fertig...

So eine große Pause zwischen den Einträgen gab es glaube ich noch nie! Außerdem sind in so einem großen Zeitraum auch noch nie so viele (unsichtbare) Kleinigkeiten passiert. Dementsprechend wenig Fotos wurden gemacht.

Immer wenn das Wetter keine anderen Arbeiten zugelassen hat, haben wir ein wenig an der Küche weitergearbeitet, so dass dort nur noch Kleinigkeiten zu tun sind, bevor verspachtelt werden kann. Oder hier und da noch an der Elektrik gearbeitet. Viele Dinge, die auf einem Vorher/Nachher- Foto wohl kaum zu erkennen gewesen wären.

Es gab aber auch ein paar SEHR sichtbare Fortschritte. Wir haben zum Beispiel inzwischen eine Hausnummer an der Fassade. Die Restarbeiten am Dach sind auch abgeschlossen. Wir haben also Fallrohre an den Regenrinnen montiert, die Gauben sind inzwischen richtig eingedeckt und vor den Gauben sind die Bleche montiert worden. Auch auf der Bergseite ist die Außenbeleuchtung installiert, liegt aber noch nicht auf der Steuerung im Schaltkasten, dazu fehlte bisher die Zeit.

Das Großprojekt Abdichtung und Dämmung der Dachterrasse ist (so gut wie) abgeschlossen. Hierfür musste eine umlaufende Regenrinne samt Einlaufblechen installiert werden. Eine Dampfbremse wurde aufgeschweißt, Dämmung zugeschnitten, aufgeklebt, mit einer Dichtbahn abgedeckt werden und am Ende wurde die Oberlage aufgeschweißt. Ein letzter Streifen der Oberlage fehlt noch. Hier muss aber vorher der Anschluss an die Terrassentür geschaffen werden und dafür ging mir kurz vorher das Material aus. Das soll aber in den kommenden Tagen noch eintreffen. Das Wetter hierfür war eher mäßig, aber zum Glück standen plötzlich Dani und Rico abends auf der Baustelle und mit vereinten Kräften konnten wir dafür sorgen, dass der Regen nicht mehr in die Dämmung laufen kann. So eine tolle Nachbarschaft kann man sich für Geld nicht kaufen! Fertig ist die Terrasse damit natürlich noch nicht, aber für den Winter war es das jetzt.

Inzwischen sind auch schon über 2 Jahre vergangen, seit wir die Schlüssel zum Haus bekommen haben.

Den ersten Garantiefall hatten wir auch schon: Die Zirkulationspumpe fürs Warmwasser wollte sich nicht mehr einstellen lassen und musste kurzfristig getauscht werden, da der Energieverlust im Dauerlauf nicht akzeptabel ist.

Achja und seit ein paar Tagen ist auch ENDLICH (erstmal) das Gerüst weg. Warum erstmal? Im kommenden Jahr soll sehr wahrscheinlich noch eine Photovoltaikanlage installiert werden, dafür muss das Haus dann nochmal eingerüstet werden. Das ist aber noch in der Planungsphase, erstmal geht es jetzt mit voller Kraft in den Innenausbau, damit es auch innen mehr nach einem fertigen Zuhause aussieht.

I don't think there's been such a long break between posts before! But there's also never before been so many (invisible) tiny tasks done that didn't warrant taking pictures.

Whenever the weather didn't allow for work to be done outside, we continued inside with the small bits and pieces that had to be done, mostly in the kitchen. Therefore there's only a few small-ish jobs left down there, before we can get started with mudding and taping. We also did some electric works, but also nothing anybody would be able to pick out on before/after pictures.

We did have some VERY visible progress as well though! For example, there's a house number on our facade now. The remaining work on the roof has been finished. Meaning the gutters have pipes now, the dormers are properly covered with roof tile and in front of the dormers the sheet metal has been installed. The outdoor lamps on the hillside of the house have been mounted as well, but I didn't have the time to set them up on the electric controls in the basement yet.

The last big outdoor project of sealing and insulating the roof terrace has (almost) been finished as well. For that I had to install more rain gutters, which run around all three sides, including the sheet metal guiding the rain into the gutters. A vapor barrier was welded onto the concrete (which had to be primed first), the insulation was cut to fit and glued down, then it was covered by a sealing layer, followed by a top layer. One last line of top layer is still missing, but for that I have to make the connection to the terrace doors first. I ran out of the required materials though and am waiting for more to be delievered. Weather for all this was pretty much hit and miss and I was lucky to have Dani and Rico show up and help until late one night, making sure that the coming rain wasn't able to drain into the insulation anymore. You can't buy such amazing neighbors for money! The terrace isn't finished yet, but that's it for the winter.

Meanwhile it has been two years since we received the keys to our house!

We had our first warranty case already as well. The circulation pump for our warm water had to be replaced as the buttons to set it up no longer worked. The energy loss of having it run 24/7 was unacceptable though.

Before I forget: The scaffolding is FINALLY gone as well! For now... Why for now? We are planning to hopefully install solar panels some time next year. In order to do that safely we will have to put up some scaffolding again. Hopefully not for a full year though! For now it's time to work on the inside though, so that the house starts to look more like a finished home there too.
